Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations of our dental practice. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of dental procedures and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and office availability.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about services and answering questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards.
- Posting dental treatment and scheduling within Dentrix software.
- Assist in the development and management of care plans for patients as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice
- Ability to work alternating Sundays and 12 hour shifts (8 am - 8 pm)
Experience
- Previous experience in office management or medical administrative support is preferred.
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service skills is essential.
- Familiarity with health information management practices, dental coding, and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable.
- Experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
