Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental office management software Open Dental
Verify insurance coverage, Check insurance verifications efficiently and co-pays
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain accurate dental records, including documentation review and updates
Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing exceptional customer service
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions
Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient intake and care plan coordination

Qualifications

Proven experience in a dental office environment with strong front desk or administrative support skills
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification processes
Excellent computer skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic setting
Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Previous office experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
