We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dental Insurance Coordinator/Billing specialist. As an Insurance Coordinator/Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate insurance verification and billing processes. Your expertise in dental coding and insurance verification will contribute to the smooth operation of our dental office.

- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients

- Obtain necessary authorizations for treatments and procedures

- Accurately enter patient information and insurance details into the system

- Review and interpret dental records and coding to ensure proper billing

- Collaborate with providers to resolve any insurance-related issues

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Assist patients with insurance inquiries and provide explanations of benefits

- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding payments

- Keep updated on changes in insurance policies, managed care plans, and coding guidelines

Skills:

- Proficient in dental terminology

- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and dental office procedures

- Familiarity with dental insurance plans and insurance billing practices

- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
