Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Lead Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and providing exceptional patient care in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. This role involves performing & assisting with dental procedures, educating patients on oral health, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and managing the schedule workflow.
Working Hours are Mondays & Wednesdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesdays 8:00-4:00 and Thursdays 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and 2 Fridays per month 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Sanford & York Locations. Must be available to travel to any location.
Duties
- Conduct dental procedures and assessments within scope of practice for our pediatric & special needs patients while navigating an efficient workflow.
- Educate children and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices.
- Assist the dentist and hygienists during examinations and various dental procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using CURVE software, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care in a dental clinic setting.
Requirements
- Familiarity with CURVE dental software & Dexis Imaging or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in engaging with children and their families.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Active Maine Licensure as an EFDA or Dental Radiographer
