Join our team as a full-time Clinic Manager at our Buffalo clinic! The Clinic Manager provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure high-quality, compassionate dental care in an efficient, welcoming environment while supporting and developing clinical staff. This role also leads team culture, manages student learning experiences, addresses patient concerns, and ensures facilities, equipment, and workflows effectively support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide visible, supportive leadership to all clinic employees, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive, respectful work environment

Manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure staffing, scheduling, equipment, supplies, facilities, and workflows support safe, efficient, and patient-centered care

Foster a collaborative culture characterized by effective communication, mutual support, and continuous improvement

Oversee patient and employee scheduling to maximize access to care while supporting employee workload balance

Address patient concerns, care issues, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive resolution and patient satisfaction

Coordinate and adjust patient flow for providers, hygienists, assistants, and support staff to maintain smooth clinic operations

Train, mentor, and support new employees to ensure successful integration into the clinic team

Monitor infection control practices, quality of radiographs, equipment maintenance, operatory cleanliness, and supply levels

Assist providers clinically as needed to support patient care and clinic flow

Coordinate, host, and supervise students from dental assistant and dental hygiene programs, ensuring a positive learning experience and compliance with clinic standards

Identify, report, and address facilities and equipment issues; coordinate equipment ordering, repairs, and maintenance

Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules and assign staff maintenance responsibilities as appropriate

Establish and maintain clinical employee procedures to support quality care, productivity, and consistency

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, infection control standards, and hazardous waste management requirements

Collect and submit invoices or documentation needed for grants or reporting when requested
Staff and Patient:

Advise leadership and Human Resources on hiring, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary matters

Manage and adjust clinical scheduling to meet operational and patient care needs

Arrange and oversee assistant, provider, floater, and hygienist team schedules

Conduct regular departmental meetings to support communication, engagement, and operational alignment

Address employee and patient concerns with professionalism, empathy, and discretion

Conduct quarterly and/or biannual employee evaluation meetings, providing feedback, coaching, and development support
Team Leadership and Employee Support

Establish and uphold standards for clinical operations, patient care, and employee performance

Train, delegate, coach, and motivate clinical staff to achieve high performance and engagement

Collaborate with Human Resources to support employee development, performance management, and engagement initiatives

Address and resolve patient and employee concerns in a timely and effective manner

Oversee clinic flow, operational processes, and standards of care to ensure consistency, safety, and quality
Clinic Manager Hours

Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm
-
Friday 7:00am to 2:00pm
Qualifications
-
Licensed as a Dental Assistant (LDA) or a Dental Hygienist (LDH)

3+ years of experience managing a dental clinic, preferably in a public health setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated expertise in dental software

Knowledge of OSHA regulations
