Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team in beautiful Jackson, WY as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and delivering exceptional patient care. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. Pay is based on commission per appointment. Office hours are Monday: 1pm-8pm, Tuesday-Thursday: 8am-5pm with lunch from 12pm-1pm.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Review medical records, document treatment plans, and update electronic health records (EHR) systems using Dentrix accurately.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and secure documentation review.
- Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
- Collaborate with team members to provide pediatric dentistry services tailored to children’s unique needs in a friendly manner.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dental setting is preferred. Wyoming license required. New grads are encouraged to apply!
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable for efficient documentation management.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and infection control procedures is essential for accurate patient care.
- Prior experience in chairside assisting and pediatric dentistry enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive services effectively.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical imaging techniques, and medical terminology ensures compliance and quality care.
- Previous dental office or clinic experience demonstrating proficiency in medical records review and documentation review is advantageous.
