Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures.
- Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments by providing chairside support.
- Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety according to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records using Softdent , ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental procedures in a clear and friendly manner.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and managing medical records for compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Operate advanced dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics.
- Assist with specialized treatments in prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by preparing materials and assisting with medical imaging.
- Ensure patient comfort and create a welcoming clinical environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant a plus.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics, and medical imaging enhances your ability to assist across specialties.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatment plans and oral health maintenance.
