Natick Dental Partners is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant with a minimum of 4-years experience working primarily in Orthodontics. The successful candidate will be friendly, confident, able to multi-task, work independently and communicate effectively with both patients and doctors.

Hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 7:15am - 4:30pm plus nine Saturdays per year.

Compensation will be based on experience and the ability to work independently after a short training period.

Responsible for assisting the treating orthodontist before, during, and after orthodontic procedures.
Tracks all laboratory cases
Review medical histories with the patient and/or parent.
Ensures orthodontic department IE protocol is followed for initial exam.
Take x-rays, pano/ceph, intra-oral scans
Document all diagnosis, dental histories, and necessary treatment in the patient dental record.
Assist the doctor for placement or replacement of brackets, bandings and changing wires.
Fabricate Hawley and Essix retainers
Follows all infection control protocols
Ensure that ortho department is clutter free, fully stocked at all times
Care for and maintain all instruments and equipment.
Use digital intra-oral scanner (iTero)
Fill out on-line appliance prescriptions
Place aligner attachments
Polish teeth
Use an intra-oral camera
Use & maintain digital/electronic charting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
