Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. It is primarily centered in our flagship location in Lewistown, MT. We also have a satellite office in Malta, MT that we work in 2 days per month.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining patient comfort.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding as needed.
- Implement infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong background in general dentistry.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dental coding and infection control practices is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and maintaining medical records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
