Temporary Dental Receptionist/Insurance Coordinator

We are looking for a positive front desk representative who will be able to cover for a temporary staffing shortage until the first week of July, 2026. This position will be at least Tuesday and Thursdays from 8 am to 6 pm, with the potential for more hours as needed during the week. This person must have at least 2 years of experience in dental front office duties noted below, and is preferred to have insurance coordinator or office managerial experience.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises. We provide a cooperative and friendly work environment, and are looking for someone who works well as part of a team!

Responsibilities

Patient scheduling
Insurance claims/verification
Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)
Greet and welcome guests
Answer incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute them
Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc.
Check, sort and forward emails
Keep updated records and files
Take up other duties as assigned (billing, schedules etc.)
Present treatment plans and insurance estimates to patients.

Requirements and skills

Experience as dental front desk representative, or similar role in the dental field
Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.)
Familiarity with dental practice management software
Strong communication and people skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Problem-solving skills
Customer service orientation
High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus

Pay: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
