Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques to ensure optimal oral health outcomes. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly valued. The Registered Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive dental care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and medical histories to inform treatment plans.
- Medical imaging procedures such as X-rays and CBCTs, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Document treatment procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft.
- Maintain a sterile environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with dentists on patient care plans, including documentation review and medical coding when necessary.
- Provide pediatric dental care when required, demonstrating patience and specialized knowledge in pediatric dentistry.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Proven experience working in general dentistry or dental clinics; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Understanding and training in diode laser practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment accurately.
- Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations including pediatrics.

Pay: $44.00 - $51.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
