Broadway Dental is a thriving, multi-doctor practice right on Broadway St. in Galveston, TX serving the island community with evidence-based restorative, cosmetic, and preventive care. With five experienced doctors, same-day emergency appointments, and a full scope of services including CEREC restorations, dental implants, Invisalign, laser dentistry, and oral surgery, no two days here look the same.
We're growing and we're looking for a Lead Registered Dental Assistant who's ready to step into a role with real clinical depth, operational ownership, and the respect that comes with being the backbone of a productive clinical team.
What You'll Do
As our Lead RDA, you'll be both a clinical anchor and a team resource -keeping the day running smoothly while delivering exceptional chairside care.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Assist our doctor team chairside across a wide range of procedures: restorative, cosmetic, implants, oral surgery, and hygiene
- Assist with CEREC restorations and digital scanning systems
- Assist with surgical placement of implants
- Fabricate anterior and posterior temporary crowns and veneers
- Place and remove retraction cord
- Perform pit & fissure sealants and coronal polishing (certification required)
- Conduct in-house whitening procedures
- Take alginate impressions, pour and trim models
- Capture intraoral photos and digital X-rays
- Set up and break down restorative trays
- Monitor and record blood pressure manually
- Sterilize instruments via Autoclave/Statim and maintain equipment
Lead Responsibilities:
- Help manage and optimize daily clinical flow
- Oversee and assist with supply ordering and inventory management
- Support and mentor other clinical team members
- Schedule follow-up appointments and recalls
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient charting and notes
- Deliver clear post-operative instructions and patient education
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
What We're Looking For
- Active Texas RDA license - required
- Demonstrated experience as a lead or senior dental assistant
- Certified in coronal polishing and pit & fissure sealants
- Proficiency with intraoral cameras and digital scanning systems
- Experience with CEREC restorations and implant assisting preferred
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate the doctor's needs
- A natural team leader - calm under pressure, supportive of colleagues
- Strong patient communication skills - warm, clear, and confidence-building
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-doctor environment
