Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene practices, patient care, and infection control. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the delivery of exceptional dental services within our clinic environment.

Responsibilities

Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using chairside assisting techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and appointment scheduling.

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques.
Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care to pediatric patients.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental setting.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical coding procedures.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review processes.
