Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal dental health.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic techniques.
- Document treatment procedures accurately.
- Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records diligently, including documentation review and medical coding when necessary.
- Ensure a safe clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and maintaining proper documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols is essential.
- Prior exposure to medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology enhances candidacy.
- Successful completion of accredited dental hygiene education programs with current licensure required.
