A growing, patient-focused dental implant practice is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant to support surgical and restorative teams while helping guide and support clinical assistants.

Position Summary
The Lead Dental Assistant plays a key role in supporting clinical operations, assisting the doctor during procedures, and ensuring the clinical team operates efficiently. This role includes chairside surgical assisting, team leadership, inventory management, and compliance oversight.
This position requires someone who can anticipate provider needs, maintain efficient patient flow, and support a high-performing clinical team.
ResponsibilitiesClinical & Operational Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during surgical and restorative procedures
- Maintain efficient patient flow and clinical operations
- Supervise and support dental assistants and clinical coordinators
- Ensure treatment rooms are fully prepared for procedures
- Maintain sterilization processes and safety logs
- Monitor emergency kits and clinical supplies
- Ensure dental and x-ray equipment is properly maintained
- Submit repair requests and track equipment maintenance
- Assist with treatment plan entry and clinical scheduling
- Ensure proper end-of-day shutdown of equipment
Leadership Responsibilities
- Support and guide chairside dental assistants
- Delegate tasks and ensure clinical efficiency
- Train and mentor new assistants
- Work closely with office and clinical leadership
- Help implement processes that improve workflow
Compliance & Inventory Responsibilities
- Oversee infection control and sterilization protocols
- Maintain OSHA compliance
- Manage clinical inventory and supply ordering
- Coordinate lab case processing
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- EFDA License required
- Licensed to take dental x-rays required
- CPR/BLS Certification required
- 3+ years of Dental Assistant experience required
- 1+ year of Lead Dental Assistant or supervisory experience required
- Surgical assisting experience required
- Dental implant experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting with full-arch or All-on-X implant procedures
- Experience with CBCT imaging
- Experience with intraoral scanners
- Experience with digital implant workflows
- Experience with dental practice management software
