In this important role, you’ll be a key part of keeping our dental care running smoothly—supporting our hygienists and dentists while helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. A strong grasp of dental terminology and great communication skills will help you shine here, but most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a heart for service and a love for teamwork.
What You'll Be Doing as a Dental Hygiene Assistant
As a valued member of our team, you'll play an important role in creating a smooth, supportive, and positive experience for our patients and clinicians. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting our dental hygienists and dentists during exams and procedures.
- Preparing treatment rooms with all the necessary instruments and materials to ensure each visit goes smoothly.
- Acquiring Dental X-rays
- Accurately maintaining patient records and documentation in line with HIPAA guidelines.
- Offering patients helpful guidance on oral hygiene habits and post-treatment care.
Keeping our environment clean, safe, and welcoming by strictly following infection control protocols.
- Using Eaglesoft for efficient and accurate patient documentation.
- Staying current on dental terminology, anatomy, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices to provide the best care possible.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred as well as x-ray certification.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
