Job Description:

Franklin Dental / Hudson Dental is hiring an Assistant Manager for our growing dental offices in Franklin Park, NJ and Branchburg, NJ.

This is a great opportunity for someone coming from retail, hospitality, customer service, healthcare administration, or another fast-paced management environment who wants to build a real career in operations.

Dental experience is not required. We will train the right person.

We are especially interested in candidates who have been shift managers, retail supervisors, hotel front desk leads, hospitality supervisors, customer service leaders, or assistant managers in a busy customer-facing business.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not just a front desk job. This is a management-track role.

The starting pay is $27/hour guaranteed, with the opportunity to grow into an Office Manager / General Manager role and potentially earn six figures within 1–2 years based on performance, leadership, and results.

You will be expected to learn everything: phones, scheduling, patient communication, insurance basics, treatment coordination, team support, and daily office operations. Nothing is “not your job.” We are looking for someone hungry, sharp, reliable, and serious about building a future in management.

Responsibilities

Answer phones and help patients schedule appointments
Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email
Help convert patient inquiries into booked appointments
Support patient follow-up and treatment coordination
Help keep the office schedule productive and organized
Support the Office Manager with daily operations
Assist with patient questions, concerns, and service issues
Learn dental systems, insurance basics, and office workflows
Manage multiple tasks and follow through without being chased
Help maintain a professional, organized, high-performing office environment

Qualifications

Common sense and good judgment
Strong communication skills
Comfortable speaking with patients on the phone
Comfortable with email, texting, and basic computer systems
Sales-minded and comfortable encouraging patients to schedule
Reliable, organized, and professional
Able to stay calm under pressure
Willing to learn and take feedback
Prior management, shift lead, hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
Dental experience helpful but not required

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who has common sense, knows how to talk to people, can sell without being pushy, follows through, and wants to grow.

You do not need to know dentistry on day one. We can teach the dental side. What we need is someone who is sharp, reliable, comfortable with people, and serious about building a career.
