Thomson Family Dental is seeking a friendly, motivated, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are a modern, patient-focused dental office dedicated to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and positive environment.
While previous dental assisting experience is preferred, we are also open to training the right person. If you have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn, we would love to meet you.

What You'll Do
- Welcome and assist patients, helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
- Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Set up, maintain, and organize instruments, materials, and equipment
- Sterilize and process instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Take dental radiographs (or be willing to obtain certification if required)
- Provide patients with oral hygiene, treatment, and post-operative care instructions
- Assist with laboratory tasks as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Support fellow team members to ensure an exceptional patient experience
What We're Looking For
- Prior dental assisting experience is preferred but not required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience
- Completion of a Dental Assisting Program
- Radiology certification
- Coronal polishing certification
- EFDA certification
- Experience with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software
