**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists with various procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. **Responsibilities:**
- Assist dentists with procedures, including preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Take dental radiographs.
- Manage patient medical records and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Utilize Dentrix software to track patient appointments and update patient records.
- Taking alginate impressions.
- Provide pediatric dental care.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Be able to communicate effectively with patients, dentists and other dental professionals.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Up to date Texas Dental Assistant License
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in Dentrix and Dexis.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and follow OSHA guidelines.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management.
- Experience with medical imaging, including x-rays and other imaging modalities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
