Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management and a thorough understanding of dental practice protocols. This role is crucial in ensuring that our office runs smoothly, providing excellent patient care while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dental office, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and overseeing staff.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, billing, and collections.
- Coordinate managed care processes and maintain relationships with insurance providers.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation is completed for all patients.
- Implement and monitor office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Provide medical administrative support to the dental team as needed.
- Utilize practice management software, such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental, to manage patient information and streamline operations.
- Assist in training new staff members on office protocols and software usage.
Experience
- Proven experience in office management within a healthcare or dental setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with managed care systems and medical records management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management practices related to healthcare operations.
- Experience with critical care environments is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in practice management software; experience with Eaglesoft and Open Dental is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
