Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, sterilization, while adhering to all safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take radiographs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in managing medical emergencies when necessary.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required in various dental procedures.
- Provide chairside assistance during various treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, Invisalign and oral sleep appliances.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices to support effective patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience with dental documentation, coding, and managing dental records is a plus.
