Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental hygienist in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency in various dental assisting techniques.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
Perform medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, and assist with 3D scanning as needed.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, utilizing systems such as Open Dental.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care.
Maintain compliance with infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling medical documentation.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with dental terminology and infection control practices is essential.
Knowledge of medical coding and documentation systems is a plus.
Experience with medical imaging equipment and 3D scanners will be advantageous.
