Romans Orthodontics is a modern, independently owned orthodontic practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and creating confident smiles. We are looking for a dependable, positive, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside a board-certified orthodontist in a state-of-the-art office that values teamwork, professionalism, and an outstanding patient experience. As a small team, every team member plays an important role in the success of our patients and practice. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building relationships with patients and families, and is excited to grow with a new practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient care and orthodontic procedures
- Take orthodontic records including digital photographs, radiographs, and intraoral scans
- Educate patients regarding oral hygiene, appliances, aligners, retainers, and treatment instructions
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Sterilize instruments and maintain compliance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control standards
- Assist with scheduling, patient communication, insurance support, and office organization as needed
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies
- Maintain accurate patient records within our orthodontic practice management software
- Help create a welcoming, positive experience for every patient and family
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Orthodontic experience is a plus but not required
- Current Arizona dental assisting certifications as required
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Experience with digital scanning and orthodontic software is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- $24.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- 30–40 hours per week
