Overview
Precision Dentistry at Hamilton is seeking friendly, organized and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator/ Dental Assistant Floater - Basic Dental Knowledge Requiredto join our growing private practice. We are looking for a professional who enjoys greeting and assisting our patients both clinically and administratively.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and manage check-in/check-out procedures using our software.
- Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security.
- Assist clinical staff with chairside assisting duties when needed, including X-ray imaging, and preparing treatment rooms with aseptic technique and chair side assisting when needed.
- Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR systems, including coding procedures for insurance billing and medical records management.
- Handle patient inquiries over the phone or in person, providing clear information about procedures, billing, and appointment scheduling.
- Support infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
MUST HAVE SOME BASIC DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment as a dental receptionist or administrative assistant.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and clinical procedures such as X-ray imaging, proper infection control practices and sterilization.
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Open Dental.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical records and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks including four-handed dentistry support when necessary.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, and dental assisting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle anxious patients.
- NJ X-ray license preferred or willing to obtain maybe considered.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
