Duties
- Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures including prosthodontic dentistry, implants, oral surgery, cosmetic and general dentistry with precision and professionalism
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient care
- Take digital dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection prevention management protocols
- Manage patient records using Dentrix software. Document medical history, vital signs, and treatment details accurately
- Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort
- Educate patients on oral health care practices, pre op and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing wellness
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and infection control standards in line with healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) with current state licensure required along with valid CPR.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a specialty or general dentistry practice preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for medical documentation and records management
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental instruments, equipment operation, and sterilization procedures
- Skilled in taking dental X-rays (including dental x-ray techniques), CBCT, and utilizing a 3D scanner when necessary
- Familiarity with infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with implant and oral surgery procedures confidently
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including office manager, front office coordinator and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance

Monday - Friday
Fridays 1/2 day and off weekends!
