Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans using Eaglesoft software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure optimal patient comfort.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary.
- Stay updated on anatomy knowledge to better assist during procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Proficiency in X-Ray technology and medical imaging techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices within a dental setting.
- Knowledge of general dentistry principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.
