Duties
- 1hour cleaning appointments, 30 min for returning children.
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital dental imaging equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing healthcare infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding principles.
- Expertise in infection prevention management, including infection control practices and healthcare safety standards (HIPAA compliance).
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and foster positive client relationships
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
