Job Overview
We have a dental hygiene opening for full or part time employment. You will have a full hour for every patient. No selling treatments or production requirements. Stable patient base. We have a collaborative team approach to sterilization, room cleaning and set up. We offer housing/per diem for employees who need to travel. We have a professional yet enjoyable setting in which to practice. Most of the staff have been employed here for many years and we need a new hygienist only because one of our valued employees is moving from the area.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain healthy smiles.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies.
- Take digital dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans in electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures.
- Experience with Dentrix would be ideal, but we would help you learn the software.
- No quotas or pressure to sell dentistry or upcharge care.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement, medical terminology, and infection prevention standards.
- Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication tailored to diverse patient needs, including pediatrics.

Pay: $42.54 - $51.23 per hour
