Overview
Lake Wales Dental Group is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing dental team.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, energetic, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment. The ideal candidate will have strong general dentistry assisting skills as well as experience supporting surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during general and surgical dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment
- Assist with procedures including restorative dentistry, crowns, bridges, extractions, implants, and All-on-X/full-arch cases
- Take high-quality digital X-rays and other diagnostic images as permitted
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical charting
- Prepare patients for treatment and help ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions
- Properly sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms according to infection-control standards
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety protocols
- Maintain dental and surgical inventory and communicate supply needs
- Support doctors in maintaining an efficient and productive schedule
- Work closely with the front desk, treatment coordinator, hygienists, and other clinical team members
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories
- Help provide an exceptional patient experience from beginning to end
Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required
- Dental assisting experience required
- Surgical and oral surgery assisting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with dental implants and All-on-X procedures is a major plus
- Phlebotomy experience/credential is strongly preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, sterilization, and infection control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus
- Team-oriented with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Goal- and results-driven
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday based on the office schedule
