Overview
Scottsbluff Dentist is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Patient care is our number one priority!
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation in systems such as Eaglesoft, and verifying patient information for accuracy.
- Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing patient comfort, and explaining procedures using proper dental terminology.
- Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and dental equipment operation.
- Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following radiation safety standards; experience with dental x-ray equipment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatments and post-care instructions.
- Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
