The Center to Advance Community Health & Equity (CACHE) is housed at the Public Health Institute (PHI) and has expertise to help nonprofit hospitals, health systems, and other stakeholders translate data into better community investments. CACHE helps users interpret data from Community Benefit Insight, and couple it with existing tools and resources for strategic community benefit implementation.
The Dental Learning & Continuing Education Manager manages CACHE’s continuing dental education and professional learning infrastructure. The position oversees Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credentialing and compliance, LMS administration, and the delivery of online, in-person, and hybrid educational programs. The Manager coordinates with clinical subject matter experts, faculty, program staff, learners, and technology partners to deliver accessible, high-quality, and scalable learning experiences that support clinical innovation, quality improvement, implementation, workforce development, and professional education. This position reports to the Division Director IV.
This may be a regular, full- or part-time position. The starting FTE will be determined upon hire, depending on funding availability. This is a remote position that requires travel within and possibly outside of California based on project needs.
The full salary range for this position: $65,962 to $94,454 per year. The typical hiring range for this position is from $65,962 (minimum) to $80,208 (midpoint), based on 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined using a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity considerations and budget availability.
This position is contingent upon funding being awarded to PHI.
- Manage CDE credentialing, documentation, approvals, evaluations, attendance, credits, and certificates.
- Maintain faculty disclosures, learner records, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor CDE requirements, deadlines, renewals, and audit readiness.
- Serve as CACHE’s primary LMS administrator.
- Build, publish, maintain, and monitor online courses, assessments, evaluations, and certificates.
- Manage enrollment, learner access, completion, credits, and learning records.
- Support conversion of educational content into accessible, scalable online learning.
- Generate learning reports and analytics.
- Coordinate logistics for webinars, courses, workshops, learning collaboratives, and hybrid programs.
- Manage calendars, registration, communications, faculty coordination, technology, materials, and evaluations.
- Serve as an operational liaison for faculty, learners, and external partners.
- Develop standardized procedures, templates, and tracking systems.
- Support faculty with course preparation, LMS use, CDE requirements, and educational materials.
- Provide learners with registration, LMS, completion, credit, and certificate support.
- Monitor learner feedback and participation and recommend improvements.
- Use participation, completion, satisfaction, and learning data to strengthen educational programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, accessibility, and learner experience.
- Support CACHE initiatives involving clinical innovation, workforce development, and professional learning.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 3 years of experience in continuing education, healthcare education, professional learning, training administration, LMS management, or related work.
- Bachelor’s degree, or substitute with four additional years of relevant experience.
- Experience administering an LMS and coordinating virtual, in-person, or hybrid training.
- Experience in dentistry, oral health, healthcare, public health, workforce development, or quality improvement.
- Experience with CDE/CME accreditation and compliance.
- Experience with online learning, instructional design, adult learning, or professional education.
- Experience with continuing education administration.
- Ability to manage an LMS & digital Learning.
- Ability to coordinate training operations.
- Ability to support faculty & learners.
- Ability to evaluate educational programs and apply findings to improve quality.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Master’s degree in education, public health, healthcare administration, instructional design, communications, IT, business, or related field preferred.
This position is classified as exempt based on the job duties. However, based on the FTE, salary level of the employee, or federal/state/local laws, the employee may be classified as nonexempt.
