Job Summary
We are seeking a long-term dental hygienist to join our private office. Responsibilities
- Conduct dental cleanings and assist dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care according to caries risk assessment and periodontal grading and staging
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia under the dentist's supervision
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements
- Proficiency in dental documentation, coding, and terminology including grading and staging of periodontal disease
- Experience working in a dental clinic setting
- Knowledge of Dentrix
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge for oral health assessment including oral pathology and temporomandibular disorder (TMD)
- Eagerness to learn and implement adjunctive therapies such as laser bacterial debridement.
