Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Apply knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care and support for all patients.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in general dentistry preferred, with knowledge of dental assisting being a plus.
Familiarity with Open Dental software is highly desirable but not required.
Strong understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage patient records effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
