Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient's care. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of orthodontic procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and parents.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and provide them with an overview of their treatment for their appointment.
Perform a full range of orthodontic methods including SureSmile, Invisalign, and SureAligners.
Assist the orthodontist with procedures.
Maintain accurate dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform dental imaging, Itero scans, and X-ray procedures.
Educate patients on treatment processes and home care.
Utilize OrthoTrac (orthodontic software system) for record keeping and appointment management.
Daily tasks include banding, bonding, changing arch wires, debanding, and sterilization.
Listen to patient's concerns to be able to inform orthodontist.

Requirements

Familiarity with OrthoTrac (orthodontic records management software) is a plus.
Experience in the orthodontic field is required.
Proficiency in dental imaging techniques and X-ray procedures is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Certification in orthodontic assisting is an advantage but not mandatory.
