Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients on oral health.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and performing oral examinations.
Clean teeth and examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis.
Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems, including Eaglesoft.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Assist in the management of the dental clinic environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
Monitor vital signs as necessary and report any concerns to the dentist.

Skills

Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and understanding of general dentistry principles.
Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical coding practices.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of relevant systems and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and educate them on oral health practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
