We are seeking a professional and organized Ortho Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role involves handling patient scheduling, insurance verification, orthodontic documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records within a fast-paced orthodontic or dental practice. Experience with EMR systems such as Edge and CareStack is highly preferred, along with a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Edge and CareStack
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers
Collect payments and process medical billing using CPT and ICD coding standards
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Review and update patient medical records ensuring accuracy and completeness
Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette
Assist with documentation review, intake procedures, and care plan coordination
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
Support clinic staff with administrative support related to medical records management and office operations

Proven experience in medical front desk or administrative support within dental or medical clinics
Knowledge of medical billing, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and insurance verification processes
Strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management, and documentation review
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and office management software
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and appointment scheduling
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and office teamwork
Experience working in dental or orthodontic clinics is highly desirable
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)
