Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing administrative support, and enhancing patient experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental office management, with specific experience in dental settings being highly desirable. You will play a key role in managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring effective biling through predeterminations and assuring submissions meet insurance company requirements. .

Responsibilities

Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations to optimize office flow. Ability to match provider skills to patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with billing and insurance verification processes, including managed care.
Provide administrative support to dental staff, including managing communications and documentation.
Utilize EMR and EHR systems effectively for record keeping and data management. Experience with Oryx desired.
Oversee office inventory and supplies to ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Assist in financial management tasks, including budgeting and fiscal management.
Support the implementation of office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
Knowledge of dental terminology and experience with dental records management.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when supervising staff.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with patients and staff alike.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
