Smile Dental Services is interviewing for the position of Dental Office Manager (OM). We are looking for a highly-organized, energetic professional with the ability to successfully motivate office personnel to meet and exceed office goals. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

The Dental Office Manageris responsible the day-to-day operations of the dental office, which includes productive scheduling for dentists and team members, office finance administration and the ability to cover all areas of the dental practice operations when necessary. The Office Manager will provide ongoing feedback, training and annual performance and salary reviews for team members and assist in interviewing, onboarding and training new hires.

To be successful in this position, the Office Manager must have superior communication skills, which include the ability to express oneself clearly and concisely as well as to listen carefully, knowing the right questions to ask to gain clarity. In addition, the position requires a professional with the judgment and problem-solving ability to determine the correct course of action based on logical and factual information. It is imperative that this individual be willing to work and be flexible in availability.

To qualify for this position, you must be patient-focused and have a minimum of three years dental office supervisory or management experience. The successful candidate will be computer-literate (Internet and Microsoft Office) with experience in dental software (Tab32) preferred but not required. Our office serves patients with all levels of dental insurance; you must have experience in Denti-Cal, government-sponsored programs, managed care, and PPO insurance billing. Experience in reading and acting on financial reporting (e.g. Profit & Loss statements) and strong reporting (verbal and written) capabilities are required.
