Van Wormer Family Dentistry is currently seeking a full time Dental Receptionist to add to our team!

This position is vital in maintaining an organized and proper workflow throughout the office. The role as a Dental Receptionist will assist in greeting patients, screening patients, answering and returning telephone calls, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, pulling and filing charts, calling and filing insurances, and other Dental Office duties that may be required. An ideal candidate for this position would be someone who is warm and engaging, people/detail/team oriented, friendly, organized, professional, works well with phones and computers, and able to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced environment while staying committed to a team atmosphere. The role as Dental Receptionist means that you are the first and last person the patient sees in the office and the interaction with them is vital in building strong relationships! Previous dental experience is preferred, but not required! Pay based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

· Having friendly and proper phone etiquette.

· Checking voicemails and returning calls to patients in a timely manner.

· Performing end of day tasks and morning tasks to prepare for the day.

· Confirming appointments for the next day.

· Processing payments and organizing payment plans, auto payments, and following collections protocol.

· Faxing, scanning, and emailing documents.

· Calling and filing dental insurance for patients.

· Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the patients while they are waiting.

· Complying with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.

· Helping patients to understand treatment plans, insurance coverage and benefits, and having the ability to inform and answer the patients’ questions.

· Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Working directly with computers and having the ability to learn and navigate our dental software.

· Ability to adjust to and perform any other Dental office duties that may arise.

HOURS:

· Monday-Wednesday 8am-5pm

· Thursday 7am-4pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
