Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. We are a family-owned office and are looking to expand our hygiene department.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Document patient medical records accurately, including treatment plans and progress notes
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventative care
Measure and record periodontal probing depths
Maintain sterilization of instruments and ensure compliance with safety protocols
Utilize dental software systems (currently Dentrix, soon to be Open Dental)
Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of RI
Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred but new grads are welcome to apply!
Proficiency in Dentrix/Open Dental software is a plus
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Experience with medical records management systems is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
