Job Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by managing appointment schedules and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Duties

Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling for both patients and providers.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Assist with clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized front desk operations.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and office procedures.
Support medical billing processes by verifying insurance information and assisting patients with billing inquiries.
Uphold confidentiality standards while handling sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Skills

Proficient in medical scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar front desk role is advantageous.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
Strong clerical skills with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping.
Familiarity with medical billing practices and insurance verification processes is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
