Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join a reputable dental practice in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a temporary position due to FMLA leave, with the assignment lasting until the end of September. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental professionals in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a certified Dental Assistant, with a preference for candidates experienced in community health facilities.

Responsibilities

The Dental Assistant will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice and to provide a positive patient experience. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supporting several dentists with preparing for patients and maintaining a clean and safe treatment area.
Preparing patients for X-rays, taking and processing radiographs, and ensuring proper radiation safety.
Greeting patients, seating them comfortably, explaining procedures, and providing post-operative instructions.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical and dental histories, treatment plans, and billing information.
Managing patient appointments, confirming appointments, and organizing the daily schedule.
Answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and providing information on oral hygiene and dental care.
Ordering and stocking dental supplies, maintaining an organized inventory, and ensuring the availability of necessary materials.
Assisting with the completion and submission of insurance forms and claims.
Handling patient payments, billing, and financial arrangements.
Ensuring all interactions align with the company's standards and policies.

Qualifications

Dental Assistant certification is required.
Previous experience in a community health facility is preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and a great attitude.

Required Work Hours

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a rotation every other Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The position is 100% onsite in Baltimore City.

Benefits

The Dental Assistant will receive a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $24 per hour, based on experience.
