Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care, ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. The Treatment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the treatment process from initial consultation through to follow-up care, ensuring that all medical records are accurate and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient treatment plans by collaborating with healthcare providers and patients to ensure understanding of procedures and expectations.
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring that all necessary authorizations are obtained prior to treatment.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
Assist in coding procedures using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards for accurate billing and record-keeping.
Manage office tasks including scheduling appointments, processing patient inquiries, and maintaining organized medical files.
Provide support in managed care processes, ensuring adherence to insurance requirements for treatment plans.

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
Familiarity with insurance verification processes and managed care protocols is highly desirable.
Experience handling medical records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines is essential.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
