Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on a temporary basis to cover a staff member on medical leave. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff regarding treatment plans.
Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system, including medical coding as necessary.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare laws.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Washington.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.
Experience in general dentistry is essential; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry standards.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
