Job Summary
We are seeking to quickly find a dependable Dental Hygienist to join our dental office. We are looking for part time (about 2 to 3 days a week). Days to work are immediately available at $300.00 per day. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (with an hour lunch from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm). We work a half day every other Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 noon (and are in need of a Hygienist for 1/2 day every other Friday at $150.00 per Friday). This position requires a thorough understanding of dental cleaning procedures, patient management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients, ensuring optimal oral health.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on their specific needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulation
Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in Louisiana
Strong knowledge of taking bite wing x-rays, occasional full mouth x-rays, and dental office prophy procedures.
Being able to adapt to Dentrix Ascend software for managing patient records and appointments.
Dental Anesthetic certification is a plus for occasional deep cleanings/quadrant scaling
Compliance with HIPAA standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.

Small office with one dentist working out of two rooms and two hygienists each working out of one hygiene room each.
