Job Overview
We are a busy, growing dental practice looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Lead Dental Assistant who can help bring structure, organization, and leadership to our clinical team. If you are experienced, proactive, and have a positive attitude, we want to meet you!

Responsibilities:

As the Lead Dental Assistant, you will not only assist chairside but also help coordinate and supervise the dental assisting team to ensure smooth daily operations. Key duties include:

Clinical Duties:

Take high-quality digital X-rays (X-ray license required)
Set up and break down operatories
Provide clear and thorough post-op instructions to patients
Maintain strict sterilization and infection-control standards
Organize, stock, and manage all instruments and supplies
Support efficient patient flow and operatory readiness

Leadership & Coordination Duties:

Lead, guide, and support the dental assistant team
Ensure assistants follow daily protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment
Monitor operatory cleanliness and equipment readiness
Coordinate daily tasks, room assignments, and workflow
Communicate effectively with the front desk and clinical team to keep the day running smoothly
Help maintain lab area organization and supervise lab case management
Ensure supplies are stocked, ordered, and rotated properly
Uphold high standards of professionalism and patient care

Requirements:

X-ray license (required)
1 + years of dental assisting experience (required)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Leadership qualities :able to direct, train, and support other assistants
Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
Reliable, responsible, and proactive
Ability to maintain a clean, structured, and efficient back office
Knowledge of sterilization procedures and dental workflows

Ability to commute:

to Nanuet, NY on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (required)
