Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental front office person to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of dental terminology, and experience with various electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
Verify insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with medical billing, coding, and documentation review.
Manage multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office.
Support the dental team by preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding care plans and treatment options.
Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is a plus.
Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance verification processes, and health information management.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
