This position requires a unique blend of leadership, organization and customer service expertise. The ideal candidate will foster a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff while ensuring the office operations run efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years in dental office management, or comparable supervisory roles. Prior experience in a dental office is highly advantageous.
Experience with claims processing, dental insurance plans, and patient billing
Proficiency in Dentrix and / or Dentrix Ascend or equivalent systems (i.e. Eaglesoft)

Core Skills and Competencies

Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate the administrative staff while exemplifying team qualities. Experience with training, scheduling, and performance management.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting clearly with staff, dentists, patients, and insurance companies.
Technical: Proficient with practice management software such as Dentrix and Ascend, combined with the ability to process insurance claims and billing through these systems.
Organization: Capable of managing multiple priorities, including overseeing patient scheduling, insurance claims processing, patient billing and daily office operations.
Demeanor: Exhibits a positive attitude fostering high employee morale and overall office culture that lends to an enjoyable environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

Staff Supervision: Train, supervise, and evaluate front desk staff, including managing work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Patient Relations: Greet patients, manage appointments, oversee check-in/check-out procedures, and address patient inquiries or concerns.
Billing and Insurance: Ensure accurate and timely billing for services rendered, process insurance claims, manage patient accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Record Keeping: Oversee the maintenance and update of patient files, including insurance information, consent forms, treatment plans, and financial records.
Marketing and Community Outreach: Assist with marketing initiatives, event coordination, patient recall programs, and community engagement to grow the practice.
