Dental Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking an experiences, dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team on a temporary assignment, timeframe TBD. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and health information management, as well as excellent communication skills to provide exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Process patient insurance claims, including Medicare, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for record management and appointment scheduling.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing as needed.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with health information management practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients.
