Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Perform chairside assisting duties while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, utilizing medical imaging equipment effectively.
Assist in patient charting and treatment planning during exams.
Manage electronic medical records (EMR) using Dentrix.
Provide support in dental reception tasks when necessary, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required in specific procedures.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols within the clinic.

Skills

Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with chairside assisting techniques and four-handed dentistry practices.
Ability to take X-rays and perform medical imaging tasks accurately.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control measures.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
